New Interactive Learning Materials for the Pig Industry

The British Pig Executive (BPEX) which represents pig producers and processor levy payers in England and Wales was delighted to appoint ELITE Consortium to deliver an innovative range of training materials for the pig sector.

ELITE’s unique approach in terms of the actual structure of the course material and teach techniques coupled with the professional presentation of the material was fundamental in BPEX's decision to select ELITE as its chosen contractor for this project.

The project involved considerable complexity in terms of the diverse range of authors contributing to the training material and range of media required to prepare the final handbooks. Nevertheless ELITE demonstrated a high degree of professionalism in the delivery of the project which has helped ensure that the new Pig Industry Certificates of Competence are practical, relevant and can be delivered and assessed within the workplace and overcome historical barriers to training including off-site training courses, bio-security concerns, and lots of paper based assessment.
