Reviewing the take-up of qualifications for the environmental land-based sector

Lantra, the Sector Skills Council for the environmental and land-based sector has engaged the consortium to conduct some research into the take up of qualifications within the environmental and land-based sector.
This is part of the Sector Qualification Strategy whereby Lantra need to establish which qualifications and pathways will be required by the environmental and land-based sector.
Commenting on the project, the Consortium Executive Director Alastair Taylor said – “We will employ two associate researchers to conduct this work which will be a combination of raw data collection and detailed analysis”
“This will give Lantra a unique picture as to the take up of qualifications for England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland and will include information on both publicly and privately funded qualifications”
The research project is due to be completed by Autumn 2007 in order that Lantra can use the outcome to inform future strategy
